Both the liquid and the softgels contain 100% naturally occurring Ratfish Liver Oil, with nutrients including alkylglycerols, a full spectrum of omega fatty acids and phytosterols. The Ratfish is several species in one, including part shark. This is a prehistoric creature living 300-500 meters below the ocean. They can grow up to 5 feel long and live for 30 years. 60% of the Ratfish’s body weight is in their liver.
The Ratfish contains Alkylglycerols, which are lipids that are only found in Ratfish and some shark breeds.
The softgels contain this same great Ratfish Liver Oil, along with the softgel material, which is made up of fish gelatin, water, and glycerin. There are no artificial colors, flavorings, preservatives, or soy. And it is gluten, dairy, and nut free!
While the liquid is needed to be stored in the refrigerator or freezer, the softgels should be stored in room temperature storage away from direct sunlight or heat. These should not be refrigerated, as refrigeration can increase permeability, and so this is not recommended. This makes the softgels and excellent choice for traveling! The maximum dosage for the liquid is 15 drops daily and the softgel dosage is 3 softgels per day.
The shelf life of the softgels is 3 years after manufacture date and are 250mg each, making these very easy to swallow. The dose allows for customers to titrate up or down on their dosing needs. They also do not have a taste! So they are great for those who may not enjoy the taste of fish oil. These softgels may also be punctured and the oil secreted from the softgel, or they may be chewed and swallowed down, making them an excellent supplement for children!
