Cod Liver Oil and Ratfish Liver Oil are similar. They both contain omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin A and Vitamin D, and other fatty sterols removed with traditional chemical distillation that Rosita® does not use.
Ratfish Liver oil has other ingredients that are being clinically studied in Universities looking at alkylglycerols as a unique trait of this species of fish. It has benefits beyond other fish oils, and we are excited to see the results. Ratfish liver oil has a slightly different profile than Cod liver oil as well.
Rosita® cod liver oil suggested dose is one teaspoon daily for adults and does taste like fish. However, Ratfish liver oil suggests a dose amount is in drops 15 daily. Ratfish Liver Oil is milder tasting than EVCLO and some describe the taste as "like butter."
You may alternate both of these fish oils every month, or every other day. We do have some customers who take both of these fish oils daily as well. If taken together daily, we recommend lowering the dosage of each in half.
